Erica Monet’ Durousseau is an American Fashion designer, originally from Lake Charles, Louisiana. She began sewing after her mother, a master seamstress, gave her a sewing machine 5 years ago. Since then Erica has created unique, one of a kind fashion pieces for friends, family and a growing clientele list in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Erica received a Bachelors Degree in Broadcasting and Communications from Grambling State University where she attended on a n athletic scholarship. It was in college that she discovered her keen eye for fashion and styling, joining a student modeling troupe and helping to design fashion shows on campus. Much of Erica’s inspiration was cultivated through travel to Austrailia, Fiji, England, Belize, Honduras and several parts of South America.

Grabbing ideas from different cultures and experiences, Erica’s creativity in fashion displays freedom, chaos and undefined trends. She is a New Orleans Fashion Week Veteran and her work is currently featured in this month’s Art+Design New Orleans Magazine.
